Ryan's work is real. (Ryan and Forge & Anchor are a composite — we made up the names, but the mechanics below are exactly what we build.) The men who finish his program come out the other side better fathers and calmer humans, and they'll tell you so. But the business ran on one thing: Ryan, posting. Every morning a LinkedIn post, most nights a batch of DMs. When he took a week off for his own family, the calendar went quiet a week later. He was the whole machine, and the machine got tired.
The feed didn't help. Open Instagram and there are forty men's coaches saying the same three things, and to a stressed guy scrolling at 11pm they all blur together. Ryan's best clients never came from the feed anyway — they came when a therapist or a gym buddy told a guy "you should talk to Ryan." Those were gold. And they showed up by pure luck, a few times a quarter, with nothing behind them making them happen.
What We Built — The Map
We left his content alone — he likes writing. We built the thing underneath it: the people who already have his men's trust, organized so they bring him up on purpose instead of by accident.
The Partner Map — 100 mapped, here are 20. The people and places that send them men, scored on how much their crowd overlaps with Ryan's and how reachable they are:
The Voices
The Airwaves — Media & Shows
SpeakerAgent AI found and scored these — it hunts the shows Ryan belongs on, rates each 0-100 for fit, enriches the host, and drafts the pitch, so Ryan only spends time on the ones worth booking.
What Happened — The Campaign
The advisor, Dana, has a book full of men going through big money-and-life shifts — divorce, sale of a business, an empty nest. We reached out on Ryan's behalf, help-first, and offered her clients a free reset session. She ran a short, warm note in her client email: "If this year knocked you sideways, I know the guy I'd call." That one email booked 9 discovery calls; 4 became 1:1 clients.
Reese gave Ryan a genuine shout-out in an Instagram story and tagged him. Kind, appreciated. The shout-out brought 2 calls. Dana's one email brought 9. The lesson we hand every coach: a tag reaches a scrolling crowd for a second; an introduction to a warm list reaches men who already trust the messenger. We went hunting for more lists.
SpeakerAgent scored the show a 94 — the host's audience is men in exactly Ryan's season of life. Ryan went on and just told the truth about his own rebuild. One soft mention of his free weekly note at the end. 7 men joined the newsletter from that episode, and 3 booked calls over the next month. The host asked him back.
Therapists there kept meeting men who needed accountability and brotherhood alongside therapy — not their lane. We set up a simple, ethical referral understanding: they hand Ryan's card, he sends men who need clinical help their way. Quiet and steady — about 2 men a month, and they're some of his best-fit clients.
Ryan ran a 45-minute session for the men's group, no pitch, just the work. 31 men in the room, 5 booked calls, 2 signed. The group leader looked like a hero for bringing it to his guys.
For his 14-man group, instead of filling it alone off his own list, we had partners each put it in front of their own people the same week — Dana mentioned it, Dominic had him on the podcast, the Quiet Strength newsletter ran a note. 6 of the 14 seats came from partners. First time he didn't fill a cohort on his own back.
Ryan had two years of discovery calls that never closed and downloads that went silent. We didn't pitch. We sent a genuinely useful weekly note, his story in the signature. Of about 500 cold names, 8 re-booked in the first month, and 260 opted into the ongoing list.
What Didn't Work
Dominic's retreat co-host pitch
We researched Dominic's retreat co-host and pitched a joint workshop — booked it, then he ghosted two weeks out and it fell apart.
Anvil Barbell Club
Anvil Barbell Club loved the idea of a talk but never once actually sent a man; enthusiasm isn't a referral.
The Results
I thought the answer was posting harder. It wasn't. The therapist across town had my exact guys the whole time — she just had nowhere to send them. Now the men who need me get pointed to me by someone they already trust, and I filled my last group without white-knuckling it off my own feed. I finally took a real week off and the calendar was still full when I got back.
